River2Ridge Environment Symposium @ Riverfront Park | Salem | Oregon | United States

Travel Salem, City of Salem and Salem Environmental Education (SEE) are partnering with an event contractor to host a tri-sport event (kayak on the Willamette River, bike to Silver Falls and run the trail of 10 Falls) on September 17, 2017 called Salem’s River2Ridge. As a part of that event, SEE is organizing an environment symposium on Saturday, September 16 at Riverfront Park in Salem to highlight certain aspects of the River2Ridge course route which will include information about the Willamette River, the Willamette Valley, and Silver Falls State Park.

The purpose of the symposium is to highlight interesting environmental, agricultural and cultural aspects of the course route so that the participants in the River2Ridge event can better appreciate what they experience as they make their way to Silver Falls State Park and the Trail of 10 Falls. The symposium will consist of 3 speakers to address these areas as well as informational displays from a variety of natural resource agencies and environmental organizations. The event is free and open to the general public.
