Little Brown Fishes of the Willamette Valley

Description: While salmon and trout get a lot of attention, other native species of fish play an important role in the ecology of our rivers and stream. These fish are important to the salmon and trout, as well as for the quality of water we drink. Karen Hans, Fish Biologist for the Oregon Department of Fish and Wildlife, will give a presentation on these important native fishes of the Willamette Valley.

Summer programs each Tuesday from 7:00-8:00 at Riverfront Park consists of topics related to the area around the new pedestrian bridge being constructed from Riverfront Park to Minto Brown Island. This is a partnership between SEE and City of Salem Parks Department. Programs are free and open to the public.
