Great Tide Rising @ Louck's Auditorium (Salem City Library)

Even as seas rise against the shore, another great tide is beginning to rise – a tide of outrage against the pillage of the planet, a tide of commitment to justice and human rights, a swelling affirmation of our moral responsibility to the future of this lovely, reeling world.

Kathleen Dean Moore, once an environmental ethicist at OSU and the author of books that celebrate the natural world (Riverwalking, Holdfast, Wild Comfort, Pine Island Paradox), Moore left the university to write and speak out about our moral responsibility to defend it, in the face of global extinctions, climate catastrophe, and delusional government. The program is open to the public with admission of $5 at the door with students free. For more information contact Jon Yoder at joyoder@wildblue.net.
